Description
Below are easy instructions for installing your new white elastic belt with string. You’ll just
need a teeny tiny Phillips-head screwdriver like the kind you use on eyeglasses.
1. Cut off the old belt. Take the batteries out of the battery compartment.
WARNING: FOR THE NEXT STEPS, PLEASE PLACE THE TOY HORIZONTALLY ON
A STABLE, FLAT SURFACE. DO NOT ATTEMPT WITH THE TOY VERTICALLY IN THE
AIR. THIS COULD CAUSE THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT AND/OR MOTOR TO FALL
(GRAVITY) AND PULL OUT THE SMALL WIRES, RENDERING YOUR TOY TOTALLY
USELESS. THANKS!
2. Unscrew the four small black screws that hold down the top of the toy’s back panel
(actually, you will find one of the four screws within the battery compartment).
3. After you get the top back panel off, you will see another smaller panel which protects the
motor/top roller that is held down with 4 slightly smaller black screws (but you can use the
same screwdriver)…Unscrew the 4 screws on the smaller panel, lift the panel, and place it and
all the screws aside.
4. Next, CAREFULLY, SLOWLY…lift up ONLY THE RIGHT SIDE of the top roller/pin just
enough so you can SLIP the new elastic belt around it. You want to be very careful because
the top roller/pin is attached to the o-ring (small black rubber band!), motor, and wires on the
LEFT, so if you only lift the RIGHT side, you will not be disturbing them.
5. Now, you can screw back in the motor cover panel and then screw back in the top back
panel.
6. OK, now the bottom roller! The bottom roller is easy because it just pulls out (push down a
teeny tiny bit, and pull it out) so you can just slip the belt around it, and snap the roller back
into place. If the toy seems louder after doing this, please try snapping the bottom roller in
and out a few times to make sure it’s snapped in place correctly. You will know when it’s no
longer loud!
7. Please take a bow because you are kitty’s superhero! Happy flinging!
